*An IV “push” or “bolus” is a rapid injection of a dose that you choose.The
dose goes directly into your bloodstream and not infused into the IV bag,
therefore taking effect almost immediately.
*An IM injection is an intramuscular injection. This is a shot that is
administered into a muscle, usually into the upper arm.
